Rust tutorial servers
460 onlinescore = players on now
Player one, this is the tutorial table. It ranks every online Rust server that has the tutorial switched on or says 'tutorial' in its name, busiest first. Each score is a real live player count from the last refresh. Pick a row and you start on the training island before the main map.

Worth knowing before you pick a row: the tutorial island is private, so nobody can kill you while you learn gathering, crafting, building and cooking. Finish it and you drop into the main map with the server's normal rates, team limit and wipe cycle. Check the Region column before you queue for a distant server, the Group column if you are bringing friends, and the Next wipe column for the countdown. A dead server shows a score of zero or near it; that is what it is, not a rounding error. Insert coin only if the queue looks long.
Questions
What is a Rust tutorial server?
It is a server with Facepunch's new-player tutorial switched on. You start alone on a private island and learn gathering, crafting, building and cooking before joining the main map. Any online server with the tutorial tag or 'tutorial' in its name is listed here.
Are tutorial servers the best place for a new player to start?
The island is a safe first hour, but the main map is normal Rust with normal rules. Check the Group column and gather rate before you commit. For a quieter first wipe, the beginner-friendly list may suit better than a busy official server.
Do tutorial servers wipe on the same schedule as other Rust servers?
Yes. They follow the usual monthly or weekly cycle, and a wipe resets blueprints only if the server chooses to. The Next wipe column on each row gives the countdown for that server.
Can I team up with friends after the tutorial?
Yes, once you leave the island you join the main map with everyone else. Check the Group column first, since team limits vary. The island itself is solo, so you each run it separately.
The order moves through the day as servers fill and empty, so the top rows at midnight are not always the top rows at prime time. Use the search box to find a word in a server name or address; for anything else, the full server list has filters for region, group limit and play style. If you want a gentler first wipe after the island, the beginner-friendly servers are a smaller step than a packed official server. Wipes and settings are tracked on each server's own page, and just-wiped servers are worth a look if you would rather start level with everyone else.
